We were both skeptical, but had heard good reviews from our friends who went with us to watch it a second time, so we were convinced that it couldn't be THAT bad...
We were not disappointed! :) It was a cute show. Clever and amusing, and not too juvenile, but certainly safe for kids.
As we were watching the credits, I noticed that one of the main characters was played by Idina Menzel, and that Stephen Schwartz had done some of the songs. Pop quiz - what else have these people done? WICKED! Idina Menzel was the original Elfaba in the Broadway opening, and Stephen Schwartz wrote the show! No wonder I enjoyed it so much. And, no wonder I didn't recognize Idina Menzel... ;)
