Before and In-Between

Our home improvement is progressing albeit slowly (a couple hours a day after the baby is asleep if we're lucky). I'm not going to call these before and after pictures, because we're only about half way through, but it's fun to see the transformations taking place.

Home Tour

I'm taking you on a preliminary home tour today. We are maybe half way through the improvements we plan to make, but at least our things are all here and we're able to live in our new home. The pictures are a little jumbled, so you'll have to bear with me.

This is my laundry room. Love my new machines! You walk through here when you come in the back door from the garage (you can see the door into the garage here).

The first floor office. The crown is done and this is the only room with baseboard so far, but the wall color will change to a warmer tan.
Here is a view toward the kitchen. Again, crown is done but that's about it. We still have some plastic up waiting for the walls to be painted.
Looking into the living room (back to the kitchen). We can't set up the TV until the media niche is painted. We're going to do it in an accent dark red. I can't wait! Don't our couches look so pewney?
Upstairs now in what we call the "big room" or the "green room". Deposit for all the stuff we don't know what to do with yet. Eventually it will probably be the dude's bedroom that is if we have more boys.

Here's where I'm sitting right now at the computer desk. It's a mess, huh? I guess I should quit blogging and get back to work!

Bedroom from the other angle. We have brown paper in the windows because we haven't bought the blinds yet.
And, last but not least, Ben's room. He's right at home and thinks the boxes are great to play with and bang on.
